According to the statement of Los Angeles Superior Court contempt prosecutors’ requests, the singer was sentenced to 90 days in the treatment program back in last November, and the judge said his time should be extended, rather than sending him to jail.
- Chris is on probation until late 2014 for beating Rihanna in 2009. As a condition of that probation, he must obey all laws or risk being jailed.
- He was arrested for assault in Washington D.C. last fall, but judge allowed him to serve 90 days in rehab instead.
- After he completed that stint, prosecutors still wanted him jailed, but the judge ordered Chris to stay in rehab while the D.C. case ran its course.
- The deal was simple: Chris could choose rehab or jail.
It is the second time the singer has been thrown out of rehab this year – he was asked to leave another facility following a heated exchange with his mother.
