Engine
The Gusto VX is equipped with the regular 109.66cc engine motor. This 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine is more in line with the other scooters in this segment which also use the similar set of specifications for their engine. This engine has a single cylinder and is combined with an automatic gearbox transmission system. The engine can generate a power of 8 BHP and a torque output of 9 Nm.

The Gusto VX doesn’t look or feel very large. It has an overall length and width of 1825mm and 697mm respectively. The suspension and brake combination on the Gusto VX is very much in accordance to what we usually see from the scooters in this segment. The front end of the scooter is supported by a telescopic air-spring suspension while the rear end uses a coil-type hydraulic shock absorber. The brakes on the scooters are both mechanical drum brakes which measure 130mm in size.
Wheels and Tires
The Mahindra Gusto VX has adapted to the changing 12-inch tires in this segment, which is starting to become the norm now. The wheelbase measures 1275mm in size on the alloy wheels. The tires on both the ends of this scooter measure exactly the same at 90/90-12 inches.
Mileage and Performance
Mileage is one of the first things that people look among automatic scooters these days and this automatic scooter delivers on it. On highways, the Gusto VX is able to provide an average mileage of 55kmpl whereas it reduces down to 45-48kmpl on the busy city roads. The overall mileage of the scooter is around the 50-52kmpl mark. You can expect an overall travelling distance of 290km on a full tank. The scooter manages to provide a top speed of 80kmph.
Other Features
The instrument console on the Gusto VX is fully analogue including the speedometer and fuel gauge. The seat on the scooter is a step-up seat which is slight higher on the rear end. You can also adjust the height of the seat according to your needs. The Gusto VX provides you with a pillion footrest, pass light and an electric-start option also.
