Christmas is round the corner and arranging things for the festival is another excitement. Amid Christmas season it’s great to view houses with majestic trees in the living room decked up with lights, garlands and ornaments. This year want same Christmas tree in your house? But have no idea about decoration. Well following are few steps which will help you decorate your Christmas tree amazingly.
Excited? Decorating a Christmas tree is always an excitement. So lost how to start with decoration what unique touch to add in a Christmas tree?
Step 1: Hang Christmas Tree Lights
The initial step in decorating a Christmas tree is to add the glamour with help of lights. The tree lights usually are available in color of green and white wire strands, so now your only job left is to choose the strand color. Tree lights illuminate the Christmas tree from inside out and give a dynamic look. Just imagine lighted Christmas tree with flowers…how amazing it will look! Start arranging the lights from the base of the trunk and then work your way up, make sure you wrap up lights around every main branch.
I have decided to decorate my Christmas tree with any of the four lights mentioned below:
-
Traditional Incandescent Lights: Such traditional tree lights are available in different variety of size and colors, and are known type of tree lights. They warm up branches of any real tree, and that releases the scent of pine into the room.
-
LED lights: LED lights are newer than traditional lights and these lights don’t produce heat. You need to spend more on these lights and note that they are flameproof, fireproof and are completely secure to put on your Christmas tree.
-
Globe lights: Globe lights are round and are available in different sizes. This lights look like balls of color but have softer glow than usual lights.
-
Bubble lights: Bubble lights are the retro lights which stand straight up on the limbs of your Christmas tree. At times when the liquid tube which is on top of the tube warms up, bubbles float up and down inside the tube, resembling lava lamps.
Experiment with different lighting schemes until you find one you like — it’s OK to mix and match lights. For example, a background of white or clear lights can be highlighted with strands of colored lights that wrap the outer areas of the tree.
Step 2: Add Christmas Tree Garlands
Well there are no particular rules for draping the garlands on the tree. To stay away from the “sausage effect” (branches bulging between tightly cinched garlands), all you need to do is start arranging the garlands from top of the tree and slowly when moving down increase the amount of garland between the branches. You can use two strands of garland for every vertical foot of Christmas tree.
Obviously you don’t want a busy look, so to avoid that you can use variety of garlands available from plain to fancy. Ribbons, foil, thicker paper look garlands will enhance the entire look of the tree.
Step 3: Hang Christmas Tree Ornaments
Wow! The Christmas tree looks awesome..right? But something is missing. Yes, the highlighters the Christmas tree ornaments are missing. They are the charm of the Christmas tree. To highlight your favorites, place them in prime positions. Later, hang your large ornaments with evenly spacing all around the tree. In between place the medium and small size ornaments. Even don’t forget to hand few ornaments near the trunk which creates depth and interest.
Amazing..you are done! The Christmas tree looks beautiful..Congrats!
