Since the first smart phone hit the market we have seen countless devices that try to push back the boundaries of what is possible with a mobile phone. With so many smart phones to choose from this article looks at the top 5 smart phones on the market today. Some feature for their breakthrough innovations whilst others make the cut due to their value for money and unrivalled build quality.
iPhone 6
Some people love Apple and some people are against their products but regardless of what you think the IPhone 6 is one of the top smart phones on the market and takes our top spot. Every IPhone that has ever been produced always beats its competitors on build quality. The phone always feels like a prestigious device and like it is made from the best quality components.
The IPhone 6 is available in two sizes. The standard model features a 4.7” display and the Plus version is expanded to 5.5”. It comes with a dual core 1.4 GHz Cyclone processor and 1 GB of DDR3 RAM. You get a PowerVR GX6450 GPU to deliver the range of games available on the App Store. The App Store is one of the largest application repositories on the internet and when a new app sensation sweeps the mobile world developers will always produce it for IPhone.
There are smart phones out there with better processors but the Cyclone CPU does the job it needs to. The operating system on the IPhone (IOS) is easy to use and Apple have not made many major changes to the layout since its initial release. The only real negative about the IPhone is its price. The IPhone 6 is currently one of the most expensive phones out there but if you want unrivalled build quality you are going to have to pay for it.
Samsung Galaxy Edge S6
As its name suggests the main selling point of this device is its curved edge screen. The display runs to the very edge of the device and curves down each side. This may sound like a gimmick but it can be extremely useful for controlling the device. Your buttons can be displayed on the phones edges making it both easy and comfortable to use.
The Samsung Galaxy Edge S6 is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB versions. It comes with a slightly bigger battery than its Samsung Galaxy S6 brother and yet the phone is still marginally lighter. The curved display can produce resolutions of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It has a decent Exynos 7 Octa 7420 CPU which contains both a quad core Cortex-A57 2.1GHz and a quad core Cortex-A53 1.5GHz processor. You get 3GB of RAM which is 3X that of the IPhone. The phone has a 16MP rear camera of which the photo quality is excellent.
The Samsung Galaxy Edge 6 is certainly a powerful device but it does have a few drawbacks. It is one of the more expensive phones in the Android range and will certainly put a dent in your wage packet. With the new screen design Samsung have removed the ability to replace your battery and have taken away the micro SD slot. But with these points said the Samsung Galaxy Edge S6 is a stunning Android phone.

The Nokia Lumia 930 is easily the best Windows phone and is up there with the very best smart phones of today.

HTC One M9
HTC generally produce phones to really rival the IPhone in terms of build quality and the HTC One M9 is certainly no exception. The phone feels like it is made from quality components and sits fantastically in your hand. It comes with an octa-core Qualcomm 810 chipset with 3GB RAM. This combined with the LCD3 screen provides a great smart phone experience.
